One Year of This
I Posted Every Day for a Year
One year ago, I started posting on this blog regularly. It was November 4th, and I used to know, but I don’t know why I started doing it, honestly.
But I thought I would have one interesting thing to say about music every day.
Turns out I was right.
Up until the middle of last week, I was going to stop doing it, but I’ll keep doing it for now.
Typically, the cliché is, what have I learned? And I’m going with it.
What have I learned? No one has asked me, but I’ll answer anyway.
Learning how to get my point across. And I’ve also learned better focus techniques. And commitment.
Now, right now I’m overcommitted, and I’m doing too many things. But the things I’m doing are getting done.
What suffers is my music writing. And picking songs I want to learn because I’ve got so many other things to do.
But oddly, everything else is growing.
Bigly.
DJ business is through the roof compared to last year, as is Buck Dancer’s Choice. My bass playing is way better.
But most of all, my ability to say something concise and quickly has come along.
I can come up with a point, say what I want to say, dictate it, edit the dictation, and put it out in a short amount of time.
I don’t know what I’m going to do with all this. But I’m glad it’s here.
And readership is up. It’s slowly but steadily climbing. And I’ve even received an email or two from readers.
So thank you all for reading.
I still don’t know why I’m doing it or what’s going on, but I appreciate a few of the billions of people on Earth paying attention.
I appreciate it a lot, actually.
